April 21, 1946

Dearest Kathleen,

Regret very much I didn't get an Easter greeting off to you. I hope you will forgive me.

I'm driving the Willy's to Hutchinson so I sure hope it will get there and back. I believe that is a very important meeting and don't want to miss it. So I hope to see you there Wednesday.

I have a feeling it won't do any good to take the fork out for the temper is probably out of the shifting fork by now but if one could get one out of a junk yard one might get somewhere. I didn't have time to take the shifting fork out but I'm going to write to Chicago and see if I can get one there.

Well I hope the carburetor helps fix the Wellys up. I'll try and get someone at Hutchinson to fix the brakes and also put a muffler and silencer on if that is possible. Also the starter button if that is possible.

Just spend two days at Garden came back Friday nite. Sure has been mighty lonesome around here since you have been gone.

I went to Church, ate out, went to see what is left of the lake in west park of the county. Then I stopped at Battins and came home to drop you a line.

I do hope you have had a good time.

So long darling sweet dreams till I see you.

Love, Milan
