Oh darling I am just wondering what you are doing this evening or where you are. If you are on the move. Not getting a letter today makes me wonder if that isn't the case. I am a little lonesome tonight, There has been so much doing for the past three weeks and now that things are settling down and realize I'm not just dreaming, it's all true. For I have dream of such a person like you but how little I knew it was you, Milan dear.
Milan, do you know anything about the fact soldiers can get electric automatic irons? One of the girls was telling me that is something I do not have. I hear the OPA price is around $9.
Darling I am enclosing a copy of all our gifts, those pillows your mother gave us are just beautiful. I really love them.
Oh yes I am sending a copy of the announcement to you I have gotten plenty of them if you care to drop any in some of your boy friends letters over seas and the like I'll send as many as you would like. I just don't want to burden you down with something you don't want, but if you want them you are welcome to them.
I am taking some out with me to your folks maybe they will thank of more, changes or maybe I'll need to ask about addresses. It also will give her something to do and think about. It sorta helps to get ones mind on other things- don't you think. I bet your mother gets pretty lonesome. I am going out tomorrow Friday evening. Rudy is meeting me at the Coop store. I'll meet the Poston's after that and ride with them. Rudy had a pretty bad cold last evening. Your mother's knee she says is better. has been to the doctor's. I just happen to think I might offer to take your mother any place she wants to go when I get there. If she wanted to I've been chauffeur for mother and grandma a good many years. I guess I should have found out if there were any details one should know about driving the car of course it's all just- in case she wants me to. I might as well be of some use.
Oh dear I can ramble on and say nothing. Gee! you know I am just beginning to realize I miss you- up to now I was trying to catch up on sleep and keep up my obligations- now that is nearly over and you are not around- it's lonesome. Mother was talking with one of my good friends that is home for the duration- husband has gone over and they find Ray and Bill her husband has the same APO numbers but I realize how lucky I am that you have already served your oversea duty.
I do wish I was a mind reader and knew whether you were in Tenn or head north east. Oh yes just for fun I've written to Plattsburg US Employment. It doesn't hurt anything- you know pretty soon I'll know all about a bunch of cities I've never seen, it's fun, or may never see.
Well I better close or I won't be able to get this in the envelope.
Oh yes darling- we have a package as soon as I know you are not on the move. No point in loosing a package. I was showered gifts at the personal shower someone wanted to remember you (I think its nice).
