November 14, 1944

Dear Milan,

You're not the only one who is looking forward to letters, it is becoming a habit every Monday. I don't mind it - when you get this I figure it will be just two more weeks. I'm getting pretty excited myself.

Have been Christmas shopping this evening; am trying to get such matters off my mind before Dec. 1st. You know it's almost impossible to find things in the stores.

So you get a kick out of the Cartoon; it was given to me by Gracie, so am using it, little does she know who; however.

You remember Leland Cochran? He has rheumatic fever, is in an army hospital someplace in the west, expects to be there about six months, so it must be pretty bad.

I met Carole W. Delp on the street the other day, asking her about things in general and how she liked living in the south- Tampa at least- she didn't seem to have a thing good to tell me about that place. She said, of course a lot of people don't like Calif. either. Little did she know why I wanted to know, we were comparing it to Calif.

Met some of my old girl friends this evening. We decided to have a gabb session over supper and a show Wed. evening.

The trout makes my mouth water at the thought of it, you must like fish too. I love it, any kind.

Have been listening to a radio play while writing this, it's "Magnificent Obsessions" by Lloyd Douglas. I enjoyed all his stories, it's a lovely story about doctors.

Saw a cute show Sunday evening "Janie" just a typical home. Jane is entertaining the service men while the folks are out for the evening. It turns out to be the regiment.

Must draw this to a close, it's past bed time.

Pleasant dreams, Milan

Yours truly,
Kathleen
