Dearest Kathleen,
Darling I went all over town today and finally settled for a room which is completely furnished steam heat bathroom which will be shared so must get me a pair of pajamas. Another Sgt book a room there also. He got a little bigger one for $8 a week ours costs $7 which is a lot but there just isn't anything at the moment and one must have a nice warm spot. The land landy is very nice. She said we could make coffee and fix a midnite snack there. she said we could keep stuff in her refrigidare. There is a place to eat near by but quite expensive but dearest it will do till we can find something better. The bus which goes out to camp comes within a block so that helps. The situation may improve but at the present time it looks doubtful. This summer we can get a place on the lake if we are still here or a number of other places which just are not warm enough now.
Gee, my love it certainly is going to be wonderful to have you with me once again and I don't mean maybe. It may be rather hard for awhile but dearest I'm sure we'll manage somehow. For the time being I can eat my meals on the post which will help out a lot. There is going to be a demand for a lot of help and if what they said at Nashville is so honey you'll get a civil service job okay but it won't be until sometime next week before they get organized as the officers are just getting in but they are suppose to be ready to go the first.
Darling I believe I'll be able to swing that S&W office job at least the M/Sgt is going to ask for me so that sure would make it nice as I wouldn't have to come to work till eight AM but work till five.
Gosh! I guess I sort of neglected the folks but I certainly didn't mean to. Probably some of the letters were help up at the Service Club in Nashville.
It certainly would be nice if you could get out and see my folks before you leave and give them my best regards also darling. By the way I don't mind if you read them parts of my letters as you might have something later or something I forgot to tell them as one sort of forgets to say the same things and then too there's that repetition which get me.
Either day you get here will be wonderful honey and our rent doesn't start till we occupy the room which is rather nice. This time I didn't have anything to do with the fact and came up here at least as far as I know. I'll include the card honey and let the women know for sure when you intend to arrive.
there is a lot of places we can go around here and if we get half a chance I sure hope to. Say Boston, into Vermont across the lake. Mts on both sides.
Well honey it is plenty cold but I don't think one feels it as bad up here though. I still prefer the South. Maybe after a few months we can swing some sort of a deal who knows.
I got the envelope with announcements this PM and this morning I got your letter of the 8th and also two other very sweet letters which had gone to Nashville. I'm quite certain I'll use these up that you sent me but no more and doubt but you could bring a few along.
Dearest I'm ever so proud of you also and I shall do my best to keep you happy for I do love you ever so much. And honey I certainly agree with you on all your ideas for they are mine also. Honey I don't know how I've got along without you for it seems as if we have been together always. Yes darling you are all I dreamed of and I'm ever so happy.
Honey I got the list of gifts and also the list of folks you sent the announcements to and I shall save them both. Yes. We certainly got a lot of lovely things which will certainly come in mighty handy one of these days.
Honey I'm certainly wondering what is in that package. Piggy bank, can you feature that. Well it may come in hand one of these days my love.
I've covered a lot of paper but I don't know whether I've answered all your questions or not. You understand things are still a mess around here but I'm sure it will all turn out okay my love. Gosh I'm certainly looking forward to a week from today. "Goodnite" and sweet dreams.
Loads of love and kisses
Your loving husband
Milan
