Dearest Milan,
Gee! but I am wondering what could be in those three air mails that await me at home. I haven't heard from you since Monday. But I realize its due to the move and being further away. But then when I know I have mail at home and then can't get to it that gets to me. Will be out to the folks tonight. I wish I knew whether there was anything you wanted- I would hate to use my own judgment and then you didn't want it. I may though.
The captain has been talking [to] me about the place and helping on giving his idea of the best route etc. His home is near Boston. He seems to be as excited as I am. I don't think he is; he couldn't. For he doesn't have the wonderful you awaiting him at the other end.
Darling, lets see a week from now I'll be there. I haven't been able to make up my mind just how much warm clothing I need. So many say I should really have some warm clothing for winter sports and etc- a fur coat even. I do hate to invest in things I don't need or can get a long without. On the other hand I want to be prepared maybe you will have some suggestion in those three letters I'll get them tomorrow in case you wonder why I don't comment on things etc- you will know my last letter from you was written just before you left Nashville that the one you ask me about over the phone, if I got it. I got it Monday.
No news around here. But I want you to know I'm thinking of you and looking forward to the time I'll be with [you], deed I am.
Am mailing this out here since I won't be going to town; it may be a little slow.
Until tomorrow-
I remain your loving wife
Kathleen
