My dearest Kathleen,

Honey I don't know for sure how soon they will get things organized around here but it looks like they should be pretty much under way by the 22nd of the month. I'll go to town tomorrow afternoon and see if I can find a place if there are any available. The officers are getting them as fast as they open up as they are not on duty and have cars to run around town, so we may have to settle for a room but I'm sure something will open up later when they let some of them live on the post. Those quarters on the post have not been let out as yet. So my darling I can't help but feel you are coming up about the right time at least I sure hope so. Some of the help will come up from Nashville but you shouldn't have any trouble getting on I hope.

Couple sheet blankets would probably come in handy as one can always use some blankets. They have a Montgomery Ward store here and lots of other nice shops in town where one can get almost anything he might want. They may not have as much variety in town but they do have everything from what I've seen of the place.

Gee I'm all in a flutter also but ever so happy to know you'll be able to get away. It is a bit cold but if you get some good winter clothes you shouldn't mind it. It was 18 degrees below this morning but it wasn't too bad outside. You'll need some warm gloves also. Darling it will be wonderful to have you with me and I don't mean perhaps. We may have to take a room I hope not but we should be able to get something nice. This sort of has me worried but dearest I'm sure it will all come out okay. I know [you'll] love it up here this summer and it is nice here now except it is just a wee bit cold.

Yes, my love as long as I'm in the army I'm subject to a move. I don't see why I should move from here for awhile. The more we can be together the better for I want you to enjoy the country with me. There isn't anything like seeing these United States while we can is the way I see it.

I've been having a cold but I seem to be getting over it slowly. I spent the day helping the boys in surgery clean up their place and plan to do that again tomorrow unless I can get on in the Sick and Wounded office. I'd much rather work in the office and it is such a thing one of the boys can swing the deal. I'll let you know about it tomorrow.

Once again here's all my love till we see one another. Yes darling, I'll be seeing you in my dreams.
